Business Development Manager - Austco Healthcare Limited
Join Austco Healthcare in a mission critical sales role!
Business Development Manager
ASX listed global health technology company
Growth role within acute healthcare
The company
Austco Healthcare is an ASX listed global health technology company delivering clinical communications solutions into hospitals and healthcare facilities across more than 60 countries.
In Australia, Austco continues to win and deliver complex healthcare projects across acute hospital environments. Growth is being driven by major capital works, technology upgrades, and increasing demand for integrated nurse call, workflow, duress and patient communications solutions.
To support this momentum, Austco is adding a senior Business Development Manager to its Victorian healthcare team. This is a true new business role focused on winning major projects, influencing complex stakeholder groups, and building pipeline across hospitals, consultants, electrical contractors, and delivery partners.
The challenge
Selling into acute hospital environments is rarely transactional. Winning work requires the ability to influence clinicians, ICT teams, engineers, consultants, electrical contractors, and procurement, often simultaneously and over long sales cycles.
Austco operates in regulated, mission critical environments where buying decisions directly impact patient safety, clinical workflow and hospital operations. Credibility, technical understanding and stakeholder intelligence are essential.
The opportunity here is not only to sell product, it is to shape solutions, influence specifications, build contractor advocacy, and position Austco early and effectively within complex healthcare projects.
Commercial impact
This role has a direct and visible impact on revenue growth. You will be responsible for creating, developing and converting pipeline across new hospital projects, expansions and system upgrades.
Success is measured not only by deals closed, but by deal quality. Projects must be well specified, appropriately scoped, contractor supported, and operationally executable.
The role
As Business Development Manager, you will act as a primary growth driver for the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and pursuing new hospital and healthcare project opportunities
• Building strong relationships with hospitals, ICT teams, Engineering, consultants, electrical contractors, and specialist delivery partners
• Developing influence and advocacy with key electrical contracting groups involved in healthcare builds
• Influencing specifications early in project lifecycles
• Navigating complex tender and procurement processes
• Developing and maintaining a strong forward looking pipeline
• Working closely with sales leadership, solutions, delivery and commissioning teams to ensure commercial commitments align with delivery capability
Who this suits
This role is suited to a business development professional with direct experience selling into acute hospital or healthcare environments where electrical contractors play a critical role in project delivery.
You must come from one of the following backgrounds:
• Healthcare communications, nurse call, workflow, duress or RTLS systems
• Enterprise healthcare technology sold into hospitals
• Smart building or ELV infrastructure with a demonstrated focus on acute healthcare projects and strong electrical contractor engagement
You understand how hospitals buy and how projects are won on site as well as on paper. You are comfortable navigating long sales cycles, formal tender processes and multi stakeholder decision making involving clinicians, ICT, engineering, consultants, electrical contractors, and procurement.
You bring credibility, patience and commercial discipline, and you understand that success in healthcare business development comes from shaping opportunity early and building the right contractor relationships, rather than chasing late stage deals.
Why this role
This is a senior, high impact new business role within an ASX listed health technology company with a strong market position and proven solutions.
The role offers exposure to major hospital and healthcare infrastructure projects, the opportunity to shape growth rather than simply manage accounts, and a competitive base salary with a performance driven incentive structure.
If you are looking for a healthcare sales role where complexity is the point, contractor relationships really matter, and winning the right work truly counts, this conversation is worth having.
